Michael Banicki Michael Banicki, an artist who uses the pseudonym R. Plutz, has worked in the display industry for the past 25 years in numerous capacities: designing, sculpting and painting. He has original work displayed at Macy’s, Carson Pirie Scott, Dillard’s, and more. Michael has had numerous one-person shows: New York – Feature Inc., Feigen Contemporary; Boston – Allston-Skirt Gallery; Chicago – Arts Club of Chicago; Milwaukee – Hermetic Gallery. Exhibition highlights include Shedhalle in Zurich, Switzerland; Illinois Art Museum; Whitney Museum, New York; Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago; Forum for Contemporary Art, St. Louis, Missouri; and City Gallery, Atlanta, Georgia. His favorite artists/influences include Jacques Villon, Robert Delauney, Roger de la Fresnaye, Ed Ruscha and Agnes Martin. |
